Northallerton Auctions was established in 1912 after J Todds handed over the Applegarth Mart from its first opening in 1907.

With a 100 years trading behind it Northallerton Auctions Ltd is still a strong established Livestock Market holding weekly sales of Fatstock on Tuesdays with Store stock and Cull Cows being sold weekly on a Wednesday.

The market attracts a strong contingent of buyers of both local and national abattoirs and butchers. Whilst store purchasers travel from far a field to purchase at the well regarded weekly store sales. Vendors also making the distance to reap the rewards of strong prices achieved weekly. A loyal contingent of regular vendors makes the mart a friendly place to be involved with.

The livestock team is headed by Market Manager and Auctioneer Giles Drew, with a strong team of procurement and field officers headed by Helen Grainger.

Brian Weighell Company secretary & Director looks after the finances and general running of the business a long standing member of staff who knows almost everything there is to know about Northallerton Auctions.

The market has seven directors chaired by Mark Corner, who all support the mart where they can and can be seen most weeks helping out during busy sale days.
